ok just to touch on yesterday...over and above the people who kept dropping the kayaks or expecting others to carry their boats or not pulling their own weight (literally) on water...guess what i'm most disappointed about is the way things were run. the utter lack of discipline and not having a contingency plan for the rain is NOT an attitude i expect from the Young Adults or the Guides...or even the Guiders.

anw i planned my hols timetable and grr...there's only ONE orange square saying pets villa ): cos orange squares mean i've sth fun on but normal squares are pink. sooo boringgg. zzz but i'm glad i've found ppl to help me with my studies, jiawen's my econs tutor but she's gonna help me with complex numbers too, and shuling and george are standing in after her (: thanks people!

jts later at hereen (darn i embarrassed myself asking shar if it's a hotel) and my leg's still quite bad but guess what, this means i have an excuse not to wear heels MUAHAHA. talking to me about dress sense is pointless, i still don't see why i cant pair sports shoes with a casual light dress. i mean, it's not like i'm wearing a ball gown with the shoes...though come to think of it, jess did wear loafers under her floor length Confirmation dress cos she thought nobody would see =P

TODAY I LEARNT TO FLOAT (:

heh i think i inhaled about half the baby pool...its so annoying. chuinyin was trying to get me to float on my back but i kept panicking, then just for fun i flipped the other way and i realised i can float on my front! :D after that i applied the same technique to floating on back and the rest was easy. i rmb adeline used to say, 'xinhui, you cant float cos you dont have any fats' so now....?! D: heh nvm...i'm more concerned about my sunburn, moral of the story: dont float on yr back and expose yr face when the sun's raging hot.

haha today i saw zhaorui and out of mischief i ran up and gave him a HUGE kick on the ankle...and he spun around and shouted 'OW WHAT THE ----' until he saw it was me >.< okay i feel dead guilty now cos i shouldnt have used so much strength, sorry dude! and thanks for being so nice as to not hold a grudge (: heheh i know if it'd been a guy who did that to another guy it'd probably be full-blown war by now.

anyway heh i think fengchi's right and i shouldnt keep bullying my guy friends la. i rmb i was very violent even in pri sch (just that i could get away with it then cos i still had the model student look complete with pigtails and all =P) so i'd rather tussle with the guys than the girls. whichever barbie my auntie threw my way tended to get mutilated, heh...i really dont like girly stuff! so i'm honestly very grateful to my guy friends for always putting up with my stupid antics i.e. punching/ kicking/ bodyslamming them etc ... and for humoring me whenever i say i have bigger and stronger muscles hahaha :D

gym on wed; apparently simin had this long discussion with jingyi about whether girls and guys can have hundred-percent platonic relationships and she shot the question at me. well she's on shar's side, i.e. she says NO WAY... but hmm i dunno, i used to say yes, it's possible but now i'm not so sure anymore.

i think it's not a matter of whether the people involved think it's a platonic friendship, but rather how the rest of the world views them together. you could be totally just friends with the person but if everyone starts scandalising you and you guys aren't able to laugh it off, then things are bound to get a 'lil awkward aren't they? shar and i differ cos i think it's possible to be hundred percent platonic if the person's yr best friend, cos then you thrash everything out in the open and there's nothing to hide. but twin says if you're so close that you're best friends, you might get a lil too close for comfort and then...yeah.

we discussed whether we'd get jealous if our best guy friends get attached, and if we do, does it mean it wasn't as innocent a friendship as it seemed? i think i'd be jealous but not because of the fact that he's got a girl he's closer to than me, but rather, that he's sharing a level of relationship with someone else that's deeper than what we had. and about drifting apart...its abit inevitable, isnt it, especially if you aren't good friends with the person yr friend hooked up with? i mean, if the guy i like has a female best friend whom i don't know really well, i wouldn't want her to keep popping up when i'm with him...so similarly i'd be discreet and take the hint to move away if my best guy friend's with his girl. but that's beside the point, cos if i don't even trust the guy to be with his female best friend, i wouldn't wanna be together with him in the first place.

haha okay this is so confusing...and it didn't help that we were blasting You Belong With Me plus Forver and Always out loud in the classroom. shucks, my brian's so addled that i told shar, 'look...isn't that tim's guy?' haha if you didnt get that you're as screwed as me.

paddling was okay i guess, liangjin is overrated. aiyah alot of emotional stuff i feel which i don't think should be disclosed, not to some people anyway.

anyway i went to pets villa with calista and ken! :D haha majorly fun, we fed all the sick cats + walked round the pet farms looking at the cute puppies (and ken can't tell the difference between a chinchilla and a hamster HAHA). kind of an escape from all the nonsense going on in hwachong right now i guess, that's why i like friends from all aspects of life. you still have backup elsewhere even if one part of your life completely falls apart (: rah, why does this remind me of national camp last year? lol.

read one of my friend's thoughts on the issue, and we're both...confused. about how everyone thinks we don't care, or that we aren't mature enough to bother about stuff. to put it in his words: must we go around looking like emokids just cos something's gone wrong? just cos we laugh and act hyper and talk nonsense all day long, does it mean we don't feel pain too? problems exist whether we like them or not. i don't understand why we can't face them with a smile. i guess this way of thought, the endless bouncing around and acting like we're 6-yr-old kids has made some ppl dislike or even hate us. i don't know how others view me, but i honestly think my friend is one of the nicest guys i know. because he doesn't pretend to be somebody he's not. but i know some people feel that we over-do it or that we're AA. maybe this is what caused pam to react the way she did last year, i don't know. bottom line is, i make friends really easily but after the initial high, i think i'm a very hard person to get along with. maybe it's my fault, the way i form really tight circles and people are either in them or not. my fb quiz says i can read people like a book, but sometimes it makes others annoyed at you. after all, would you really like someone to see right through you, all your strengths and weaknesses? there's only one other person i know who does this, but we don't discuss it so i'm kinda messed up now. but i see it as a good thing cos the people i forge true friendships with, usually stay true friends forever.
