haha mark said sth cool on the way home:

'i'm gonna go get God good for this!'

there's actually nothing cool about that sentence. it's just the buddy-buddy, heyyo-wassup-God way that he spoke that i think is cool. cos God wants our repect and all (haha i know for a fact that twin feels guilty for eating during QT =P) but He also wants us to love Him as the bestest friend ever =D and i really really like it when i'm discussing spiritual stuff with my friends and nobody adopts a 'fake' spiritual tone, instead, we just laugh and talk and pray like God's a coolio friend sitting right beside us. it's something i love doing with shuling sharon sally =D

there's nothing wrong with having a spiritual tone, but when it starts to get forced, i.e. the person praying starts throwing a lot of 'by your love and grace and mercy and walk in your light...' when its unneeded, for the sake of making the prayer sound 'cool', then....haha. it gets distracting, and it makes the prayer less effective cos everybody stops focusing on the topic at hand. so yups, i need to brush up on praying aloud too! (:
