out in that inferno, the one thing that had the deepest impact on me. seeing how brave they were, how they thought on their feet to port early and fix their boat, how they managed to keep their wits and fight on till the very end. not a trace of bitterness nor anger, just doing their very best.
there're no words for me to describe how impressed or how motivated i was by them.
but that was the spirit of a true canoeist.
